Mike’s Monday Lift features a conversation between Mike Goldmark and Dominic Kemp, actor, auctioneer, art dealer and author of Terry Frost Prints.
Most of Dominic Kemp's career has been divided between art dealing and acting. He spent a year playing the lead role in The Mousetrap in the West End. Films include Song for Marion, Miss Potter and Pierrepoint. TV credits include Downton Abbey, Dr Who, Eastenders, Wire in the Blood, Doctors, Derek and many others.
After five years of research, his catalogue raisonné of Terry Frost Prints was published by Lund Humphries in 2010. In 2008 he was asked to curate the Curwen Gallery’s 50th Anniversary Exhibition and have since become chief advisor for prints at the Curwen Archive and consultant adviser for prints at The Chambers Collection, London. He has also been asked to curate a major survey of Terry Frost's prints at Austin Desmond Fine Art.
He works closely with many private and public collections, helping to acquire rare and outstanding prints. Pallant House Gallery, Fry Art Gallery, Swindon Museum and Art Gallery, Chippenham Museum and Heritage Centre, The Chambers Collection, Churchill College Cambridge, Downing College Cambridge and Balliol College Oxford.
He is also an auctioneer and valuer for the Fine Art Auction Group, Modern Art Auctions, Grand Auctions, and an off-camera valuer for BBC's Flog It!
