Henry Moore OM CH FBA (1898-1986) was probably the most famous British sculptor of the 20th century. However he began drawing as a child and it was Moore’s war drawings that originally brought him to the attention of the wider British public. Drawing was always central to Moore’s artistic life and led to a collaborative relationship between Henry Moore and his great friend the Master Printer Stanley Jones MBE, of the Curwen Studio, which began in 1958.
The pair developed new and innovative printing techniques which resulted in some of Moore’s most creative works on paper. Goldmark Gallery is delighted to be able to share the remarkable fruits of this friendship in a new exhibition of Moore prints from Stanley Jones’ personal collection.
The exhibition opens on 4 November and all prints are available to buy. There will be a fully illustrated catalogue and walkthrough film of the exhibition available.
