We're delighted to announce a selling exhibition of Rigby Graham oil paintings and watercolours, opening on Saturday 26th April.
Goldmark Gallery’s exhibition history began with the famously irascible but brilliant Rigby Graham, so each opportunity to revisit his work has the feeling of a homecoming.
Graham established himself, through his extraordinary dexterity across multiple mediums, as one of this country’s most original landscape artists.
Never afraid of ugliness and discomfort in the views he chose, Graham’s pictures give us a portrait of the world in vibrant colour, and a reminder of the environmental detritus mankind continues to leave behind us.
Underpinning all his work, whether prints, watercolours or Fauvist oils, was a fascination with human history and behaviour, and their evidence in the places we call home.
