Sometimes the word 'gallery' simply isn't enough. Yes, it's the core of a business dedicated to the best in painting, printmaking, sculpture and ceramics. But here the books turn into paintings, the paintings turn into films. Watch our short film to find out a bit more about us and what we do.

Well known for his large-scale sculptures formed from assemblies of many mass-produced objects, David Mach was born in Fife, 1956. After studies in Dundee and at the Royal College of Art in the late 1970s and early 1980s, Mach experimented with compositions made by collecting thousands of individually arranged objects, such as the Polaris sculpture, a life-size replica of a Polaris submarine constructed out of 6000 tyres.
Despite the success of commissions for larger installations and sculptures, Mach has also produced smaller works, often collages, inspired by the thousands of magazines left over from larger previous works. Mach’s work, particularly his permanent public pieces, has been well received by his peers: in 1988 he was nominated for the Turner Prize, and in 2000 he joined the Royal Academy as Professor of Sculpture.
