    Shinsaku Hamada is the second son of Shoji Hamada who helped Bernard Leach to establish the St Ives pottery in 1920. Shinsaku also worked with Bernard Leach for a short time in 1963. He had a world-wide reputation as a master potter, working from his pottery at Mashiko, Japan. Shinsaku Hamada died 16th July 2023.
